Are you weary of your work clothes?

Are you weary of your work clothes?

Even if you work in a very conservative environment, work clothes needn’t be boring. Check out this elegant frient who is modeling professional-looking stylish clothing. And, yes, the phrase “professional-looking stylish clothing” is not an oxymoron! If you aren’t required to wear a jacket, I think cardigans are a great option. And, by now you should know how I feel about stripes (in case you don’t, I LOVE THEM!). I’m also pretty crazy for this blouse with a bow, it’s feminine and refreshing. Doesn’t she look stunning?

And, Another Fabulous Frient

And, Another Fabulous Frient

banana republic wrap dressI promise I don’t seek out only beautiful women to style. That said, today’s post does feature another stunning frient. Clearly she’s attractive, fit, and wears clothes very well. But, she wanted a little help expanding her wardrobe, and enhancing her current look. I found this faux wrap dress at Banana Republic and I knew it would be perfect for her. We’ve paired it with espadrilles and I think it’s a great choice for a casual summer party. So, my new frient, enjoy your next summer BBQ, you look smashing!

Now, if Only I Could Find my Tiara!

Now, if Only I Could Find my Tiara!

Yesterday I saw the movie Cinderella. I’m not a movie critic, but I really enjoyed it. The characters were beautiful, the scenery was beautiful, and the costumes were beautiful. On the other hand, one could argue that this movie is anti-feminist, and that in general, princess fairytales are disempowering to women. But, I don’t really want to engage in that conversation. Cinderella delivered exactly what I needed: an escape to a magical place for a few hours. And, I hate to admit it, but I had a little princess envy when I left the theater. To be clear, I don’t want to actually be a princess, I just want to wear princess dresses.

Fortunately,  I found this skirt at Ann Taylor, and it’s rather”princessesque.” It’s very flattering, flowy, and twirls nicely when you spin. I’ve paired it with a  rather tailored top, but I think it’d be smashing with a feminine fitted sweater. Wouldn’t a tiara complete this look nicely?

Monochrome, blah or beautiful?

Monochrome, blah or beautiful?

I’m going with beautiful. I’m really not sure why dressing all in one color looks stylish instead of boring, but it does. Trust me on this one, the elegance is in the simplicity. You can add a pop of color in your accessories, or not. And, in honor of simplicity, that’s all I’m going to say. Scroll down for shopping info.
